Family holiday - Allier River
‘Simon Ferrier provides the perfect blend of safety conscious instruction and a thrilling experience, whether negotiating rapids or scaling granite cliffs. He inspires confidence and is always encouraging to his charges. We enjoyed four days kayaking on the River Allier (including the Gorge D’Allier) in the Haute Loire region of the Massif Central in France and a day climbing nearby at the quaintly named Cubells. Granite cliffs, old villages, soaring eagles, jumping salmon and stunning scenery combined to create a memorable getaway far from the crowd.’

School Trip
Simon took groups of our year 9 and 10 children out for canoeing and rock-climbing in June this year. Some of the children had experienced these activities before but most were beginners. They had a wonderful time canoeing and were particularly thrilled to have achieved to have tackled a quite tough weir on the second day! The climbing days were equally successful with the children elated by their new-found confidence on ascents and abseils they would not otherwise have dreamed of attempting. One of the most telling comments to come back from the group was "What a nice man Mr Ferrier is, very encouraging and friendly!"

I was particularly impressed with Simon's cool head and his all-round professionalism. I could not recommend any outdoor activity company more highly.
